A Case Study of July 2010 flood in District Charsadda

 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

Almost all of the people concentrate on the economic rehabilitation of the flood affected families and reconstruction of flood hit areas; however, these affected families face a number of social, economic and psychological problems as well, in the wake of flood, which greatly disturbed their lives and compel them to live abnormal lives. The study will be focused on the impacts of flood on the function of families and to know the social, economic and psychological problems of the families of flood affected area in Distract Charsadda.

 

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

           The study will provide awareness about how Disaster effect the functions of family and will also provide awareness to the government about all the social, economic and psychological problems of families caused by natural calamities and disasters that adversely affect the formers directly as will as indirectly. The study will draw the attention of the government authorities and policy maker to check out policies in handling social, economic and psychological problems of the families in disaster-hit areas.

The study will be of great benefit for the developmental sector and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in delivering their services in such areas. The social sector and NGOs are generally facilitating the people in such a situation with food, shelter,  and other necessities of life and life. The study will be highlight all those problems which formers face due to the natural disaster.
