Tool for Data Collection

 

Structured questionnaire will be prepared for the collection of data from the respondents. The questionnaire would contain close-ended questions. The instrument will be divided into different parts like 1) personal profile of the respondents, 2) household profile; 3) Social impacts of flood 4) psychological impacts of flood 5) destruction of the people.

Data Collection

Data can be gathered with a structured questionnaire in three ways: by using a written questionnaire, by personal interview, and by telephone (kidder, nd p221).

Data Analysis

The data analysis in the research project is very much important. In applied research, data analysis and preparation of the final report are two sides of the same coin. (Rubin, 1983. P 379) Data will be analysed using an appropriate test statistics. Different statistical tests will be applied to test the hypothesis. Data will be presented, interpreted and summarized.     

Delimitation

The study will be delimited to:

1.      Rural areas of the affected zone

2.      Age group 20-60 years
